How to use the platform.
Everything you need to use the Ali Yosef studio platform — for students learning, buyers tracking projects, affiliates earning, and writers reading. Bilingual, practical, and updated alongside the product.
Getting started
Create an account
You only need an email and a password. Roles (student, buyer, affiliate) are assigned based on what you do next.

Click "Sign in" in the header
Choose "Create account" on the login page.

Enter your email + a strong password
We use Argon2id hashing — your password never leaves your browser in plain text.

Verify your email
A 6-digit code arrives within seconds; paste it on the next screen to activate the account.

Choose what you came for
Browse the course catalog, track a project by code, apply to the affiliate program, or open a service ticket.
Pick the right portal for you
There are three portals, accessed from the same login. Your role determines which one opens first.
- Students → /portal/student — courses, labs, certificates, cohorts.
- Project clients → /portal/client — milestones, files, invoices, support.
- Affiliates → /portal/student/account/affiliate — referral codes, conversions, payouts.
- You can hold multiple roles on the same account — switch from the user menu in the top-right.
Student portal
Enroll in a course
Free courses are open immediately. Paid courses unlock after admin grants access following payment confirmation.

Browse /train
Click any course card to open the landing page with curriculum, prerequisites, and price.

Click "Enroll" (free) or "Buy seat" (paid)
Free courses activate instantly. Paid courses route to the secure checkout.

Start the first lesson
Your progress saves automatically. Pick up where you left off from /portal/student/continue.
Pass quizzes + earn the certificate
Each course ends with one or more quizzes. Hit the passing score on every quiz to auto-complete the course and unlock the certificate.
- Quizzes are server-graded — answers are not exposed in the browser response.
- You can retake a quiz; only the highest score is used.
- Certificates are auto-issued at 100% completion, signed with a unique number, downloadable as PDF.
Project tracking
Track a project without signing up
Every project gets a short code (e.g. PRJ-2026-00012). Enter it on the homepage card or visit /track to see status, milestones, and recent updates — no account needed.
- Public tracking shows status + progress + milestones + latest updates only.
- Money, internal files, and contact info are never shown publicly.
- For the full view, sign in to your buyer portal.
Invoices, files, and support tickets
Once signed in, every engagement has its own page: a milestones tab, a files tab, an invoices tab, and a support thread.

Open /portal/client/projects
Click any project card to enter its dashboard.

View milestones + completion
Each milestone shows planned date, actual date, and an optional update log.

Pay an invoice
Invoices in ISSUED status carry a "Pay" button — click it to settle via Stripe or local gateway.

Open a support ticket
From the support tab, file a thread tied to the project. Replies trigger email notifications both ways.
Affiliate program
Apply + get approved
The affiliate program is opt-in. After application, admin reviews and approves within 48 hours.

Sign in
Open /portal/student/account/affiliate.

Submit application
Provide payout details (PayPal, bank, or local). Application status is visible in the same panel.

Wait for approval
You'll get an email when approved. After that, you can create referral codes.
Codes, conversions, payouts
Create a UPPERCASE referral code (e.g. ALI2026) and share it. Every sign-up + sale tracked back to your code earns commission.
- Standard commission: 20% on courses, 10% on services. Custom rates negotiable.
- Conversions accumulate; request a payout when you reach $50.
- Payouts are processed weekly, paid within 7 days of request.
Account & security
Two-factor + sessions
Enable 2FA from /portal/student/account/security. We support TOTP (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy).
- Recovery codes are issued at enable-time — save them somewhere safe.
- See and revoke active sessions on every device from the Sessions tab.
- If you suspect a session was stolen, "Log out everywhere" wipes every session tree at once.
Switch language
Every page is bilingual (Arabic + English). Use the AR/EN toggle in the header — your choice persists across sessions.
